The project in detail

In order to correctly assess processes or products, a prior analysis must always be performed, followed by a diagnosis. These workflows are indispensable in the field of chemistry in being able to judge the behaviour of substances. Water is such a substance that plays a central role in conjunction with products from PMS Thomin.

Development of a mini-laboratory for customer service technicians for testing rinsing water quality. Based on the test results, application errors can be detected and cleaning results can therefore be optimised if necessary.

Safely packed in a handy carrying case, the customer service technician has various different chemicals available in small 15 ml – 30 ml vials with which a series of different tests on water quality can be performed. Troubleshooting on the subject of washing is also included, which provides the technician possibilities for improving rinsing water quality and therefore for reducing residues in the water. Furthermore, the troubleshooting programme also includes indications of whether machine parts need servicing or replacing.

The mini-laboratory guarantees the technician a professional image. The chemicals serve to determine and/or detect hardness, alkalinity (cleaner residues), iron/rust, limescale, starch and food particles in addition to coloured substances (tea, coffee, etc.) in the water. The carrying case contains all documents and labellings in several languages.
